You paid for the design, approved the photos, and made every page look professional. Visitors still scroll, leave, and never contact you.
Before paying for another redesign, check whether your homepage passes these five tests.
1.Does the headline say who you help and what problem you solve?
“Quality solutions for your business” could belong to any company. Visitors should understand who the service is for and why they need it without reading the entire page.
2.Can someone identify your main service immediately?
When every service gets equal attention, people have to decide where to start. Lead with the service connected to their main problem, then make the other services secondary.
3. Is there proof beside your claims?
Calling your company “trusted” or “experienced” asks visitors to believe you. A relevant review, before-and-after example, completed project, or clear explanation of your process gives them a reason to trust the claim.
4. Is there one obvious next step?
“Learn More,” “Explore,” “Contact,” and “Get Started” competing on the same screen create hesitation. Choose one action that moves the sale forward, such as requesting a quote or booking a consultation, and use it consistently.
5.Can someone complete that action comfortably on a phone?
Test the real page, not the desktop preview. Small text, buttons hidden behind pop-ups, slow images, and a long form can stop an interested visitor before the submission reaches you.
A homepage fails when it makes people work too hard. Every extra guess, competing button, unsupported claim, or awkward tap gives them another reason to leave.
Good design should reduce that work, not hide it under better visuals.
Save this and use these five checks before paying for another redesign.
