I've been building Studio Kowa (https://www.linkedin.com/company/studio-kowa/) from the inside out with a new mark, a refined color and type system, and a studio direction that actually reflects where I want this project to go. I've been building this idea on the side for a while now, while freelancing for different clients over the years. The focus is on helping founders and cultural clients put their first step forward through clean, energetic design and brand systems. I'm directing AI with a strict point of view and using it to move faster while also flagging poor results. I will be sharing more on the studio this week as well as a new website built in Framer!

Inspired by Holographic’s work for Paul Kalkbrenner, I wanted to have some fun in Framer and spent the last few days building a website for Marrøn. I also made some of the video assets using Runway and Seance 2.0, mixed with After Effects. The custom logo was built in Blender around the ø in his name. At the same time, I’ve been working on a small identity in Claude, using the pixel effect in Safari. The idea is simple: drag and drop images or videos, and it’s ready to go. I’ll share a later post showing how this could be used for socials. Hope to see Marrøn in Berlin soon.

Lately I’ve been experimenting with how sketching, AI and motion design can work together. This logo was originally created for a project that never went into production, so I decided to give it a second life. Sketch → references → Runway for the 3D exploration → After Effects for the final polish. It’s exciting seeing how quickly ideas can evolve when you combine traditional design thinking with new creative tools.

Sharing my new portfolio website I made in Framer. Using the new Ai agents made setting up the more complicated CMS easy and I was able to focus more on the creative direction. If you want to check it out and some of my projects and updated case studies you can find it here. https://danekowachek.com

A little preview of my 2026 portfolio rebuild. ⚙️ I’ve finally had the chance to spend some time on my own brand and experiment with new ideas after closing some fun projects. Lately, I’ve been exploring the idea of an AI assistant named KOVA that introduces visitors to my work. Part portfolio, part motion experiment, and part excuse to learn new tools and push my creative process. Over the next week, I’ll be rebuilding my portfolio and introducing some of the freelance projects I’ve been working on recently, along with a clearer direction for where I’m heading as a designer. Looking forward to sharing a few new case studies soon and seeing how Kova grows. ✨ Process: Avatar illustrated with ChatGPT Image-to-video animation created with HeyGen Avatar 4 (including script and voice generation) Captions and motion design created in After Effects

Designing a premium event brand is one thing. Building a website that speaks to multiple audiences without losing that feeling is another. After shaping the identity for OSD, the next step was translating the experience online. OSD is a one-of-a-kind event space in Berlin — hosting everything from weddings and private dinners to cultural and corporate events. The challenge was creating a digital experience that could clearly speak to very different audiences while still feeling cohesive, elevated, and true to the space itself. We designed and built the full website in Framer — structuring the experience around OSD’s different event formats, improving clarity across the user journey, and creating a system flexible enough to grow with the brand. I’ve just launched my updated portfolio, showcasing my work across visual identity, UX design, and motion design. As a multidisciplinary designer, I focus on building scalable design systems, intuitive digital experiences, and bold visual worlds for brands in tech, culture, and events. This update reflects the direction I’m growing toward in 2026 — combining strong brand storytelling, thoughtful user-centered design, and motion to create work that feels modern, clear, and impactful. Excited to take on new freelance projects and collaborations. https://danekowachek.com/ ✨

Here’s a little motion teaser for SAMBA, my UX Master’s project — an AI-powered student dashboard designed to turn overwhelming semesters into manageable tasks. I experimented with After Effects expressions + ChatGPT to prototype interactions quickly and explore motion language. This is just a glimpse of the visual direction — the full case study focuses on AI support, clarity, and mental wellbeing in academic workflows.
