Content Strategy & Marketing Automation for a Physician-Led Substack Client: A physician-authored health publication Role: Content Strategist & Marketing Automation Builder Overview Foundational Health is a physician-led Substack publication. I was brought on to turn a strong body of medical writing into a repeatable growth engine, building the content system, the automation behind it, and the analytics loop that tells us what actually converts paid subscribers. I own the publication's content pipeline end to end: Substack strategy, Instagram content and DM automation in GoHighLevel, and the email marketing sequences, all produced in the author's voice. What I Built Data-driven content strategy Ran a full analysis of 241 published Substack posts against email and conversion stats to find what drives paid subscriptions. Identified that named-condition posts (e.g. specific conditions and protocols) and first-person transformation stories convert paid subscribers most efficiently and rebuilt the content calendar around that insight. Documented findings in a Notion conversion-analysis page that now guides every content decision. Content production system Produce full content batches from each article: Instagram carousels, image posts, Substack notes, and link posts. Run an ongoing reel format (short b-roll clip + on-screen hook + comment/DM call-to-action) designed to feed the automation rather than rely on link-in-bio. Produce podcast clip reels from guest episodes. Coverage to date spans articles on blood pressure, PPI side effects, home birth, sunscreen, and a shift worker's guide. Marketing automation (GoHighLevel) Built Instagram DM automation triggered by comment keywords that delivers the right article to the right reader automatically. Designed sequenced follow-ups, e.g. deliver the article first, then the paired podcast episode a couple of hours later, to warm readers before the ask. Email marketing Wrote onboarding and nurture sequences in the author's voice. Executed a full email migration from GoHighLevel to native Substack, consolidating the stack and cutting tool overhead. Built the launch email sequence for the publication's first live monthly paid-subscriber Q&A session. Central operations hub (Notion) Built and populated a complete Notion workspace as the single source of truth: Content calendar and Substack content board Reader testimonials database (500+ entries) Content strategy and conversion-analysis pages Email marketing sequence library Skills & Tools Content strategy · Marketing automation · Email marketing · Copywriting (ghostwriting in client voice) · Social media management · Data analysis · GoHighLevel · Substack · Instagram · Notion Results Growth (May 1 → Aug 25, 2026): Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR: +21.8% Substack followers: +6.3% Total subscribers: +5.2% Paid subscribers: +4.7% System & foundations: 241 posts analyzed to build the conversion-focused content strategy from evidence, not guesswork. 500+ reader testimonials organized into a reusable social-proof database. Full content-to-automation pipeline built from scratch — every article now spins out into a coordinated set of posts, reels, DM flows, and emails. Email infrastructure consolidated onto a single native platform.

EAT — Social Media & Creative Strategy EAT was an AI-powered meal and nutrition planning platform built for an international audience, looking to strengthen its organic presence. The challenge wasn't simply to publish more content, but to reinvent how the brand showed up online and create a social presence that people wanted to engage with long before they considered downloading the app. The first step was understanding the brand from the ground up and giving it a distinct identit, one that felt warm, useful, and worth following rather than promotional and transactional. That meant moving away from direct selling and experimenting with content formats that educated, entertained, and built community: carousels, reels, polls, short-form video, seasonal content, lifestyle-led storytelling. I supported the brand's social media strategy from end to end, beginning with understanding the product, its audience, and the role content needed to play in driving long-term organic growth. I planned weekly and monthly content calendars, researched audience behaviour, monitored performance metrics, and refined the strategy based on engagement insights. Alongside content creation, I collaborated with clients through regular performance reviews and reporting, ensuring creative decisions remained aligned with business goals. The project reinforced an important lesson: sustainable organic growth isn't built through isolated campaigns. It comes from consistent experimentation, audience understanding, and showing up with genuine value over time.

Cover image for UpSynk: Website Content, UX Writing
UpSynk: Website Content, UX Writing & LinkedIn Marketing Infusing a scheduling platform with clarity, confidence, and product-led precision. UpSynk is built to simplify how teams schedule, collaborate, and track outcomes: meetings, events, and revenue insights, all without switching tabs or platforms. But a product this capable needed copy that matched its ambition. Much of the early messaging undersold what UpSynk could actually do, and the in-product experience needed writing that guided users rather than just informed them. I came on to bring consistency and clarity across UpSynk's public-facing presence and in-product experience, ensuring the brand sounded confident and precise everywhere it showed up, from the website to the dashboard a user opens every day. I worked across three key areas of the product: website content, UX writing, and LinkedIn marketing. For the website, I developed SEO-friendly copy that positioned UpSynk beyond a traditional scheduling tool, highlighting its collaborative workflows, centralized dashboards, and event management capabilities through clear, benefit-led messaging. Within the product, I wrote UX copy for dashboards, onboarding flows, empty states, notifications, and interface elements. Every interaction was designed to reduce friction, help users navigate the platform intuitively, and reinforce the product's value through concise, contextual writing. Alongside this, I supported UpSynk's LinkedIn presence with educational posts, feature highlights, product updates, and thought leadership that increased awareness while maintaining a consistent brand voice across marketing and product communications. The result was a more cohesive customer experience, where every touchpoint, from the website to the product interface and social media, communicated the same promise: helping teams schedule smarter, collaborate more effectively, and manage meetings with greater visibility and control.
