How do you design a skincare brand inspired by olives… without making it look like olive oil? 🤔 🤌🏼 That's the challenge I'm currently working through! The hero ingredient naturally brings to mind food, kitchens, and grocery shelves. But this brand belongs in a premium skincare space. So instead of focusing on the fruit itself, I'm exploring the Mediterranean lifestyle, botanical illustrations, tactile packaging, earthy color palettes, and editorial typography to communicate the ingredient without feeling edible. This project is still a work in progress, but I thought it would be interesting to share the exploration before the final result. Curious... if you had to communicate olives without illustrating an olive, where would you start?

For the past months I have been chasing momentum and design frenzy, however, after being at the verge of burnout this season, I am aiming for something different: consistency & peace of mind. I used motion blur in this visual to represent transition instead of rushing forward. Because sometimes the best thing you can bring to your work is not more energy but less noise. When I designed the identity for Sandwich (https://contra.com/p/Ll2mRPrk-modular-branding-for-advertising-agency-or-sandwich?referralExperimentNid=DEFAULT_REFERRAL_PROGRAM&referrerUsername=aniautorino), an advertising agency, I quickly realized that a polished, predictable brand would be the wrong answer. Inspired by the tight structure of a sandwich, I knew the identity had to feel bold, loud, and unapologetic. The logo and overall identity needed to grab attention. That is what I find interesting about Neo Brutalism. It strips away the filters and lets the message hit harder with high contrast type and bold colors. As it's hard to replicate with AI, do you think Neo Brutalism is a lasting design direction?

Hey! Here’s my entry for the #RiveChallenge. I had this micro-game idea in mind, and this challenge was the perfect excuse to finally build it. I made everything in a pretty short window, so there are things I’d polish with more time, but I’m happy with how it turned out. The game is called "Tortoise vs Hare", inspired by the classic fable. It has a 3-screen interface, all vector assets created from scratch, one Master State Machine for both characters, full rigs with reactive expressions, hover-based speed control, and a final click to decide the winner.
