Bringing a Motion Graphics Project to Life: Step-by-Step Process
In this project, I guide you through the journey of creating a presentation video for Song Concepts. Each phase builds on the last, resulting in a cohesive and captivating final product.
1) Crafting the Moodboard
A moodboard sets the tone, capturing the essence and emotions of the piece. This step ensures every element in the design supports a unified vibe and energy.
This is the first thing to do. This helps us get a clear direction of the project
2) Defining the Aesthetic Direction
With the moodboard approved, I shape the project’s aesthetic identity by defining:
Typography
Graphic elements
Backgrounds
Color palette
Video Content and Length
Music choices to enhance the experience
Defining elements before setting up a motion design project
3) Storyboarding the Visual Narrative
The storyboard becomes the project’s heartbeat, mapping out each scene. Here’s where I make sure each part of the story answers these questions:
What is this scene communicating?
Why is it essential to the narrative?
How does it connect with other scenes?

4) Delivering the Final Vision
Once every element is set, the real magic begins: creating the motion itself. This stage is the culmination of all the work, and where the ideas take flight.
Final Thoughts
This project reflects the knowledge I gained over a 3-month deep dive into Motion Graphics. I applied this experience to craft a unique, custom presentation for Song Concepts, a brand for which I oversee all design. 🎶
From logos to backgrounds, fonts to images—every element in this video was designed by me to fit Song Concepts’ vision and style. 🎨
