Elevating a Service Marketplace through Motion Design and System Design
The Mission
Biid is an innovative service marketplace connecting homeowners with top-tier professionals. My focus was on refining the product's visual appeal through strategic motion design and technical iconography. I enhanced the app’s "first impression" and core service categories to ensure they felt premium, consistent, and aligned with the brand's upscale vision.
1. Brand in Motion: Splash Screen & Social Media Outros
The challenge was to bring the Biid logo to life across multiple platforms. I developed two distinct motion systems:
App Splash Screen: Optimized for mobile performance using Lottie (JSON). Since JSON lacks native motion blur support, I engineered a custom "vector-echo" technique to simulate cinematic fluidity without sacrificing app load speeds.
Social Media Outro: A high-definition version designed to leave a lasting, professional impression on viewers, enhancing brand recall.
2. Iconography System: Technical Precision at 24px
I created a custom library of 24 category icons to streamline user navigation within the app.
The Standards: Every icon was built on a precise 24x24px grid (scaled at 8x for design accuracy) with a consistent 4pt stroke weight.
The Result: A clean, "minimal editorial" aesthetic that ensures legibility across all screen sizes, replacing inconsistent AI-generated references with a professional, scalable vector system.
Visual Cohesion & Brand Identity
Every element was designed with Biid’s core identity in mind. By aligning motion curves, line weights, and visual metaphors, I helped create a unified brand language that communicates trust and efficiency—essential values for a high-end service platform.
Enhanced Biid's service marketplace with dynamic motion design and precise iconography, creating a cohesive brand identity that reflects quality and trust.
