My thought process for Ontrack was to build a task app that made sense for how people keep track of the work they do. Unfortunately, too many times most task apps forced you into a pattern of spending time micromanaging them over a seamless experience of keeping track of your goals and the work that needed to be done in a fashion that felt fluid and intuitive. I designed Ontrack around that hypothesis yet I still ran into bottlenecks that blocked the aimed fluidity of a productivity app that felt truly useful. To address the issues, I've been experimenting new approaches that push the limits of creating a frictionless experience, and a productivity app that actually helps you be productive without the overhead. You can read about some of my research around Ontrack here: https://dilanomer.com/projects/ontrack-treating-task-paralysis (https://dilanomer.com/projects/ontrack-treating-task-paralysis)Below, Ontrack as it currently stands, and a proposed version of addressing the current bottlenecks

Recent Web design and branding work for a client with a crane truck business. I was lucky enough to be a part of the strategy process and have seen this business grow massively over the last 6 months. To be a part of the growth and having contributed parts of the brand like the logo and website has been a really rewarding experience and I look forward to doing similar projects in the future! https://hariz-crane-trucks.vercel.app/

The Willow AI assistant, surfaced right where work happens. Instead of a blank chat box, it opens with what it can actually do, add a service, translate the work order to Spanish for the crew, rewrite notes, summarise what changed. Beside it, a client detail view brings a customer's whole history, revenue, leads, proposals, invoices, work orders into one scannable screen.

Day 13/30 For thirteen days I've been designing hero sections for companies that don't exist. Today I'm sharing one for a company that does. Mine. Studio Meva. Web design and branding for startups, small businesses, and everything in between. The challenge was always pointed at this. Every brief taught me something I used here: β The carousel is the portfolio. β Big type, white space, nothing else. After weeks of lush photography I wanted the studio's own page to be the quiet one. If the work is colorful, the frame should be plain. If you're building something and need a site that doesn't look like a template, my inbox is open. Landing page pre-loader by Alireza Sinaei

Day 12/30 of my hero section challenge. Another day of prioritising the visuals and imagining a company that doesn't exist. I promise the next one is a tech brief with barely any imagery at all, I've leaned hard on beautiful photography for twelve days straight. Concept: a mycelium materials company producing leather, packaging and foam grown from fungal networks. The design deliberately inverts the category's defaults; biotech branding tends toward dark, clinical and electric blue, so this one goes warm and botanical, with a subtle looping video of spores drifting and mushrooms emerging. The copy pulls hard the other way: plain, technical, B2B-direct, anchored by two concrete numbers instead of sustainability adjectives. Twelve briefs across travel, food retail, personal branding, events, landscape architecture, pet services, hospitality, coffee, lighting, wellness, restaurants and now biomaterials. 12 down, 18 to go. Built on the Viper template by Westhill Studio, adapted and customised by me. Imagery and video generated with AI.

Day 11 of 30: expanding the challenge from single heroes to a full landing page. Concept: Sal & Lima, a taqueria and margarita bar. Built entirely from watercolour illustration. Torn-paper panel edges, a hand-painted script headline, and a four-colour palette of cream, chilli red, lime and warm brown. The upper sections lead with illustration; the menu deliberately switches to clean, legible type, because decoration belongs where it seduces and clarity belongs where people are choosing what to order. Open to landing page and hero work, especially for hospitality brands that need personality rather than polish. Template credits: Grooic LLC Illustrations generated with AI.
