I think working on my portfolio is the coolest thing ever because I can go as crazy as I want, who is there to stop me? đ It's been seven years since I first discovered Webflow and built my very first portfolio site. A few redesigns later, at the end of this summer, it felt like the time to push myself again and come up with something fresh. This time I wanted to create something that doesnât really follow the standard web design rules. I mixed GSAP with some custom code to build this grid-like setup, which functions as an online archive of everything Iâm proud of, from paid projects to passion projects. Check it out: https://www.rubenvanas.nl/ Would love to hear what you think!

Last Friday, a friend from Lombok asked if I could help him create a website for booking local tours on the island. Even though the deadline was coming up, I couldnât pass up this opportunity. I loved the challenge to explore a new concept and create something that truly stands out in both look and feel. After a very intense weekend, Iâm proud to share the result with you all and Iâd love to hear your feedback! đ Lombok Local Tours (https://lombok-local-tours.webflow.io/#GuidesSection)

Wanted to share some recent work this is Barista 010, a branding project for a coffee course made for home baristas. Had a lot of fun diving into modern coffee shop aesthetics, playing with illustrations, and really trying to capture the right vibe! You can check out the full project here (https://www.rubenvanas.nl/projects/barista-010)

Shipped this website (https://eventsbylemon.nl/) for a start-up event company in 2 weeks. A new website resulted in selling tickets easier, making more profit for their events. That's why we build sites!

Snow White went into business. I built her a website. Merry Lantern Ledger is my side project: a team of AI agents investigating business ideas in public. Each idea earns its next step through evidence, with a record of what the team tried and learned. I built it with AI tools, bringing illustration, motion and product design into the same little fairytale world. The cast breathes, the beards sway, and the serious work has somewhere to live. AI enhances exploration and scaffolding; tactics, strategy, direction and taste stay under my thumb. A little scroll through the world so far. Feel free to check it out. https://merrylanternledger.com

Really loved combining a lot of different skillsets to make this. I enjoy taking something as mundane as a form and creating a moment out of it that might stick with people.

I built an interactive 3D library experience that turns browsing books into something more immersive. From animated 3D elements and parallax movement to interactive books and smooth transitions, the goal was to make the website feel less like a page and more like a digital space you can explore. Built with creativity, interaction, and storytelling at the center.

Optimize Kajabi for SEO and AI. The way people search and find things is fundamentally changing. One thing is certain: AI is here, and itâs not going away. Whether we like it or not. Whether weâre happy about it or not. People are already using it, often without even realizing it. Google search results suddenly seem less valuable. You need to be at the top of the AI answer, otherwise you wonât be found. All those investments over the past years⌠were they for nothing? Because you can have the best product in the world. But if no one can find it, whatâs the point? And that leads to an interesting question. How does AI find you? A few things to realize: AI is not a search engine. It doesnât scan entire pages like we do, because thatâs expensive. It looks for fast, clear signals and relies on what Google can already find. So yes, SEO still matters. AI also needs to be fed. While originally meant for search engines, you can use so-called JSON-LD scripts for this. Itâs a script that quickly tells what your page is about. Google understands it better, but AI can use it too. And then thereâs something new thatâs becoming more important: AEO (Answer Engine Optimization) and GEO (Generative Engine Optimization). Sounds complex, but itâs simple. You donât just write content to be found, but to be used in AI-generated answers. âItâs no longer about being found, but about being chosen.â So no long, vague stories, but clear explanations, concrete answers, and smart structure. Think of it like this: SEO helps you get found, AEO/GEO helps AI choose your content as the answer. A very simple method is to include questions and answers on your pages. And then include those same Q&As in your JSON-LD. That way you hit two birds with one stone. How do you do this in Kajabi? It sounds technical, but itâs not that bad. Ask your AI chat to generate a JSON-LD script for you. Let it tell you what information it still needs, like a title, name, or image. You simply fill that in. Then place the code at the top of your landing page in a custom code block. Set the margins to 0 so it stays invisible. At the bottom of your page, add your FAQs using an accordion. And hereâs the smart part. Include those same questions and answers in your JSON-LD. This way, you give AI the right information directly, without it needing to read your entire page. Your page is now not only clearer for Google, but also more usable for AI. Awesome Blog Creator adds JSON-LD for you And this is exactly where we ran into the same issue with our own blogs. Blog pages have always been important for visibility. But they donât allow you to easily add this kind of code. Thatâs why last year we added the option in Awesome Blog Creator to include JSON-LD directly in your blog. No hassle. No technical knowledge needed. ABC, as we call it, is not just another template. Itâs a tool that helps you: structure your blogs logically make them match the look and feel of your website and prepare them for both Google and AI So your content doesnât just get found⌠but actually gets chosen. đ Curious what that looks like in practice?
