PROJECT OVERVIEW
Designing a Social Trivia Platform for Engagement and Growth
Trivflic aimed to develop a unique app combining trivia and social media, providing an engaging and entertaining platform for users to connect through daily trivia challenges and share their experiences. The app also aimed to enhance user engagement through gamified competition and implement long-term monetization strategies.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
❌ Lack of a Social, Gamified Trivia Experience
Most trivia apps lacked meaningful social interaction and engaging competition, leaving users without a platform that combined daily challenges, community features, and shareable content in one cohesive experience.
❌ Need for Sustainable Engagement and Monetization
Trivia platforms often struggled to retain users and generate revenue. Trivflic needed a scalable solution with gamified features, content management tools, and monetization strategies to drive long-term user engagement and profitability.
SOLUTION
Design Solution
User Flow and Usability Testing:
Created a detailed user flow chart to map out the app’s features and functionalities, helping both the product team and the clients understand the project scope.
Conducted usability testing with low-fidelity wireframes to gather feedback and refine the user experience.
Visual Design and Development
Utilizing FlutterFlow, we developed a light and dark mode theme for the application, ensuring a visually appealing and user-friendly interface.
Integrated core functionalities, such as daily trivia questions, GIFs, and social sharing options, efficiently within FlutterFlow.
Additional Features
3. Leaderboard and Gamified Competition:
Implemented a dynamic leaderboard system to foster competition among users. This feature tracks and displays user rankings based on their trivia performance, encouraging daily participation and engagement.
Introduced badges and rewards for top performers to further motivate users and enhance the gamified experience.
Monetization Strategy:
Developed a comprehensive monetization strategy, incorporating internal ad placements to generate revenue while maintaining a user-friendly experience.
Planned and managed in-app events, such as trivia tournaments and special challenges, to boost user engagement and create additional revenue streams through sponsored events and premium content access.
Robust Admin Features
With any good platform you need a way to moderate and create content to push out to your users, we helped the Trivflic team create a moderation tool that allowed them to also create and manage trivia questions to push out to their audience as well as a custom push notification center.
CONCLUSION

Trivflic successfully launched an innovative app that combines trivia and social media, offering users an engaging platform to connect and compete. The app’s robust design and monetization strategies have ensured its sustainability and profitability, allowing Trivflic to reach a global audience and expand its user base effectively.
