The goal was simple, automate the onboarding process for new hires

As AnswerLab grew, and new hires were added at a rapid pace, it became clear that the cobbled together, highly manual process of getting people onboarded properly was lacking.

The biggest challenge on this project was identifying all the steps and people involved, which were many, and creating a process that automated as much as possible while also providing transparency and accountability to ensure no balls were dropped.

I started the project by identifying key stakeholders and drafting up a proposed timeline by which we'd launch the new process. Working closely with the HR department, I was able to assemble the key players and get to work.

Working closely with the team and regularly checking in as progress evolved, we were able to quickly arrive at a solution that saved both time and money.

In less than 2 weeks, I was able to meet with key people involved, lay the plans for a solution and build it. After testing, we deployed the new onboarding process and monitored it closely, making adjustments as necessary to ensure a robust new workflow.
