As a visual designer, I helped rebrand Dave & Buster's to give it that va-va-voom it needed.
So, here's the one-minute story:
Dave & Buster's was in a pickle — tons of competition from places like Top Golf and Olive Garden, and their walk-in sales have been slipping since 2017 because people have said their locations were too far, too pricey, or they just forgot about it.
In order to stay relevant, and compete, they had to flip that sales drop, get people coming back more, and make sure everyone remembers them as the spot for fun, food, and good times.
And this is where I came in.
I was tasked to help the Creative Director redefine Dave & Buster's brand — specifically, their digital look and feel.
For context, here's the evolution of Dave & Buster's public image:
We wanted to attract the next wave of customers — the younger crowd — so, we grabbed inspirations from vibrant colors, bold dimensions, and blended all the ingredients together to start cooking.
And through rounds of testing, feedback, and revisions, here's what we dished out:
