IDENTIFYING WEAK SIGNALS OF EMERGING TRENDS BY APPLYING HORIZON SCANNING RESEARCH METHOD
Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies (CIFS) is an independent, non-profit futures think tank founded in 1969. Their Global Scanning Network (GSN) consists of academics and professionals around the globe who monitor ongoing developments relevant to the Institute’s research throughout the world.
I have been a proud member of GSN and have been working on weekly reports applying ‘horizon scanning’ - the process of systematically scanning the external environment for evidence of emerging disruptive issues that would also track changes to established phenomena or trends. The following showcased articles have been a part of the observations related to the new behaviors, new governance, new urbanism, and new business innovations in the post-pandemic world.
