My thought process for Ontrack was to build a task app that made sense for how people keep track of the work they do. Unfortunately, too many times most task apps forced you into a pattern of spending time micromanaging them over a seamless experience of keeping track of your goals and the work that needed to be done in a fashion that felt fluid and intuitive. I designed Ontrack around that hypothesis yet I still ran into bottlenecks that blocked the aimed fluidity of a productivity app that felt truly useful. To address the issues, I've been experimenting new approaches that push the limits of creating a frictionless experience, and a productivity app that actually helps you be productive without the overhead. Day 13/30 For thirteen days I've been designing hero sections for companies that don't exist. Today I'm sharing one for a company that does. Mine. Studio Meva. Web design and branding for startups, small businesses, and everything in between. The challenge was always pointed at this. Every brief taught me something I used here: → The carousel is the portfolio. → Big type, white space, nothing else. After weeks of lush photography I wanted the studio's own page to be the quiet one. If the work is colorful, the frame should be plain. Day 12/30 of my hero section challenge. Another day of prioritising the visuals and imagining a company that doesn't exist. I promise the next one is a tech brief with barely any imagery at all, I've leaned hard on beautiful photography for twelve days straight. Concept: a mycelium materials company producing leather, packaging and foam grown from fungal networks. The design deliberately inverts the category's defaults; biotech branding tends toward dark, clinical and electric blue, so this one goes warm and botanical, with a subtle looping video of spores drifting and mushrooms emerging. The copy pulls hard the other way: plain, technical, B2B-direct, anchored by two concrete numbers instead of sustainability adjectives. Twelve briefs across travel, food retail, personal branding, events, landscape architecture, pet services, hospitality, coffee, lighting, wellness, restaurants and now biomaterials. 12 down, 18 to go. Built on the Viper template by Westhill Studio, adapted and customised by me. Imagery and video generated with AI.

Day 10/30 of my hero section challenge. Today: Ofelia, a spa in Bali. → The wordmark sits at eye level, spanning the full width, cutting across the middle of the space. Here the type claims the room, and because the interior is symmetrical and calm, it can take the weight. → A high-contrast serif against soft plaster. The architecture is all curves and matte texture, so the type brings the only sharp edges in the frame. Contrast without adding a single element. 10 down, 20 to go. A third of the way. Template by Hariom, adapted and customized by me. Interior imagery generated with AI.

Day 8/30 of designing one hero section every day. Today: Cerro, a single-origin coffee brand. And after three days of building reveal mechanics, this one has almost no interaction at all. → The photograph is the design. An overhead shot of a picker at work, dark glossy foliage, red cherries. My only job was to not get in its way. → The light does the layout for me. The image funnels attention to the center, so the type sits in the shadowed edges where it doesn't compete. No scrims, no overlays needed. → The only motion is an entrance: the wordmark alone on empty plants, then the picker fades in. The hero uses a wide, cinematic frame to signal breadth, then hands off into a structured layout where each sector gets its own handling detail. The intent is to make a broad capability feel specific rather than generic, which is the usual failure mode of an industries page.

Designing the Career page for Binder Consulting Career pages are often the most neglected part of a consultancy site, which is strange because they're where the best people first meet the brand. We treated Binder's like its own small story. It opens with the line "Consulting That Challenges You. A Team That Supports You," which sets the tone immediately. From there: warm photography of the real team, quotes from current members on why they stay, a clear look at the career path on offer, honest benefits, and a fully transparent hiring process laid out stage by stage. Nothing hidden, nothing oversold. The page makes one quiet point really well: consulting can be ambitious and human at the same time. Open to new projects if you're building something in this space.

Rethinking the Insight page for Binder Consulting A small but meaningful UX call on this build. Most consultancies split their content into three separate pages: articles here, success stories there, whitepapers somewhere else. We put all three on one page, controlled by one shared filter. And the filter applies live, the moment you tap a tag, no Apply button to chase. Sounds minor, but it changes how the page feels. Less like navigating a site, more like flipping through a well-organised library. Open to new projects if you're working on something in this space.

How we visualised millions of dollar in jackpots for ClubV ClubV is the leading egaming club in Saigon, packed with the latest slots, roulette and baccarat machines. They needed a website that matched the floor experience: high stakes, but quietly premium. This screen pulls live jackpot data from their API and lays it out as a cluster of circles. One per win, sized by payout. Switch between 7 and 30 day views. It updates in real time. The brief was simple. Make the numbers the hero. We did that by stripping everything else back. Happy to chat about similar work for hospitality or gaming brands.
