As a store owner, if you’re paying $500+/month in app fees, consider having a developer custom-build features into your theme directly. With section blocks in modern Shopify themes, most features are less than 50 lines of code and are easily maintainable from the Shopify customizer. Just like apps, custom blocks can be toggled on/off or rolled back instantly. For example, I used fewer than 40 lines of code to add this upsell feature to a Shopify store I’m working on. Saved $19.99/month($240/year) in app fees while offering better performance than any 3rd-party upsell app. Sure, you can still use apps where they make sense, but most of them are just a few lines of JS code that can be added as a theme block. Since they are built directly into your theme, you get better performance with zero recurring fees.

Cover image for MyWorldCup App⚽🌍
Ever since the World

MyWorldCup App⚽🌍 Ever since the World Cup began, I found myself doing the same thing, jumping between score apps for updates, switching to X for fan debates and banter, checking blogs for news, and moving across different platforms just to follow one tournament. It felt exciting, but also fragmented. I wanted a simpler way for fans to experience everything in one place. That idea became MyWorldCup; a fan-first, Mobile-first World Cup companion designed to bring every part of the tournament experience together. Football fans can follow fixtures, standings, predictions, discussions, and tournament progress through a simple, intuitive experience with dedicated tabs for group tables, fixtures, match predictions, tournament brackets, country fan communities, live match discussions, and World Cup history. Built using Figma Make, this project explores how AI-assisted design and rapid prototyping can turn an idea into an engaging digital experience faster. The attached walkthrough shows the design process, key features, and how I used Figma Make to bring MyWorldCup from concept to interactive product. Cover image for I designed this timetable to

I designed this timetable to make a packed, 5-week exam prep schedule actually easy for students to read. Instead of a messy, confusing grid, I kept the layout super clean with bold headers so you can find the day and time instantly. I also color-coded each subject and added a quick key at the bottom so students can map out their weekly classes and brainstorming sessions at a single glance without getting overwhelmed.

Cover image for I designed this magazine-style graphic

I designed this magazine-style graphic to turn a basic student interview into a really clean, sharp spotlight. Instead of dumping a massive wall of text on the page, I went with a split-screen look. The left side handles the main story with nice, bold text, while the green sidebar on the right lets you grab the quick facts at a glance. It just makes the whole thing feel way more premium and easy to read.

Cover image for Mbari Hub: Studio Website Redesign Mbari Hub takes its name ...

Mbari Hub: Studio Website Redesign Mbari Hub takes its name from Mbari Mbayo, "when we see it, we shall be happy." Seeing is believing. The studio exists to make brands visible, so the site needed to prove that in the first three seconds rather than explain it in the third paragraph. What I did: Positioning and messaging, including the mission line "a brand set on the hill cannot be hidden" Full art direction, including the composited hero of a figure walking a mossy branch above its own reflection Editorial type system built on a high-contrast serif with italic emphasis, paired with a clean sans for body Dark UI with warm light, tuned so client work and packaging shots stay the brightest thing on the page Responsive layouts across desktop and mobile, with the service sections restructured as questions instead of a feature list Build, DNS, and analytics setup Result: a site that sells the studio's core promise through the experience of using it, not just the copy.

Ember: Calm guidance for when everything goes wrong. Try Ember: https://emberapp.figma.site Check it out on Figma Community: https://www.figma.com/community/file/1648394289612792299/ember (https://www.figma.com/community/file/1648394289612792299/ember)Survival knowledge is everywhere, but in the moment you actually need it, it's scattered and overwhelming. Ember is a survival companion app that turns preparedness into something personal, calm, and actionable. Instead of dumping information on you, Ember asks a few simple questions: your situation, your environment, what you need most, and whether you're alone. From your answers it builds a personalized survival plan, the right guides in the right order. Every guide is built for use under pressure: what you'll need, then clear steps you check off one by one. Completing guides levels you up from Noob to Survivor, so preparedness becomes a practice, not a panic. And because survival isn't only about knowledge, Ember includes a community safety layer. Find Me broadcasts your location with one tap, and the Lost map shows everyone nearby who needs help, in real time. The app that teaches you to survive also helps you get found. Built entirely with Figma Make, featuring AI generated imagery and a custom AI character system, a live Supabase backend powering the real time beacon map, and live local weather. One app, real data, real purpose. Ember. Prepared for anything.

Cover image for Explore My Unique Interactive 3D Portfolio Room in Figma

I built my sample portfolio as an interactive 3D room using Figma Make. https://baton-sway-12272497.figma.site Instead of a traditional portfolio site, I recreated my bedroom in Blender, brought it to life with animation, and made every object in the room clickable. Each hotspot opens a slide-in panel showcasing a different category of my work: Visual Design, Motion Design, Brand Identity, and Animation. The sphere lamp, the book shelf, the posters on the wall, even the character running on the treadmill, they all mean something. Every click tells a story. It is also uploaded on Figma community: https://www.figma.com/community/file/1609343334029057439 https://x.com/TheElzenitho/status/2027655365442105753?s=20 #FigmaMakeathon

Barney & Deefa — Brand Identity & Strategy Barney & Deefa is a sustainable pet food and care brand. I led the identity, and the core job was clear from the start: the brand had to earn trust the moment you see it. People are choosing what goes into a family member's body, so it needed to feel both dependable and genuinely warm. I handled the full identity, from strategy through to a complete brand system. What I delivered: Brand strategy and positioning built on ten personality traits A distinctive wordmark with a hidden paw-print detail A warm, nature-led colour palette in orange, sage, and forest green A type system pairing Anton and Inter Verbal identity and tone of voice guidelines Applications across packaging, wearables, and stationery A complete brand guideline document The result is a cohesive, trustworthy identity that holds up across every touchpoint, from a food bowl to a social post. Need a brand that turns your positioning into something people trust and remember? I take on a limited number of identity projects. Let's talk.

I sat down with her, mapped out what actually mattered for that pitch, and designed a product that looked and felt ready not just "in progress." She walked into that room with something investors could actually see and trust. Left a 5-star review after. This is the kind of pressure I like taking on at Aktivated Designs. Tight timelines, big stakes, and a product that has to work the first time.
