Enrollment in their Faculty of Fine Arts & Music (previously the Melbourne Convervatory of Music and Victorian College of the Arts) was down. Many students were opting to study fine arts overseas in... ugh... Europe or not at all.
Both of these are unacceptable outcomes.
💡 The Solution 💡
Instead of learning to do art the way others have already been doing it for centuries, we wanted to show prospective students that, at the Faculty of Fine Arts & Music, they can find their own artistic voice.
We found the original briefs for some of history's most famous artworks, and gave them back to students who were unaware of their significance.
Following 30 artists, we created a mini documentary series and art exhibition that showcased these unique pieces and celebrated the distinct artistic voices that created them.
