As a freelancer, I struggled with finding a time-tracking tool that met my needs. Most apps were overly complex, packed with features I didn't use, leading to frustration and inefficient workflows.
To address this, I developed a minimalist time-tracking app using SwiftUI and AI (Cursor), designed to provide a simple and effective solution for freelancers.
The Challenge:
The challenge was to create a time-tracking app that prioritized simplicity and efficiency. Existing solutions were often bloated with unnecessary features, making them cumbersome and frustrating to use. I needed a tool that allowed me to quickly log time without distractions or complications.

Development Process:
Problem Identification: Recognizing the need for a simpler time-tracking solution.
AI-Powered Development: Utilizing AI (Cursor) to accelerate development and streamline coding.
SwiftUI Design: Building the app's user interface directly in code, ensuring a clean and intuitive experience.
Minimalist Design: Focusing on core functionality and eliminating unnecessary features.
Figma for Visuals: Using Figma to export illustrations and create icons, enhancing the app's visual appeal.
Iterative Development: Chipping away at the project over several weeks, refining features and fixing bugs.
Results & Outcomes:
The resulting time-tracking app provides a minimalist and efficient solution for freelancers. By focusing on core functionality and leveraging AI, I was able to create a tool that addresses my own frustrations and, hopefully, those of other freelancers. The app is currently in its final stages of development, with plans for an upcoming launch.
