I worked for a nonprofit organization for almost 5 years. They organize events and sell things that help them raise money to help poor communities.
Back in 2018, this organization arranged a concert by a music group called "Los Rumberos". During the planning of this event, I was in charge of designing the invitation, social media posts, tickets, and coupons intended for people to exchange for courtesy drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic). All of these designs had to be branded and consistent with the imagery chosen for this particular occasion.
One of the main goals for this event, besides the branding, was to reach as many people as possible through email marketing, social media, and word of mouth. It is essential for these events to get as many people as possible to come due to the fact that the money raised is destined for poor communities.
I designed a very colorful branding for the event. These annual events are usually very serious and elegant (they usually have fashion shows), but this year, things were a little different and the approach to it was to be much more festive and joyful. All the imagery was bright and saturated, that way it aligned perfectly with the type of music these people play (rumba and salsa). We ran several campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, as well as email marketing campaigns. We also sent invitations via WhatsApp to friends and families, and the event was a huge success!
