Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC), located in Reno, Nevada, United States, is a vibrant educational institution offering a wide range of academic programs. Since December 2018, I've been privileged to be part of this dynamic environment.

My Role 📋

As the Administrative Assistant to Academic Advising at TMCC, my journey has been both challenging and rewarding. Here's a snapshot of my contributions:

Front Desk Operations: Spearheaded front desk activities, ensuring swift communication and meeting the diverse needs of the department.

Customer Service Excellence: Delivered top-notch customer service, addressing calls quickly, and efficiently scheduling appointments.

Office Management: Handled office duties meticulously, from paperwork processing and inventory control to arranging meetings and travel plans.

Organizational Skills: Kept precise records and strictly adhered to workplace policies, demonstrating strong organizational and administrative abilities.

Team Coordination: Fostered a cooperative work atmosphere, managing schedules for staff, organizing meetings, and leading training sessions. Supervised a team of 5 front desk staff, handling over 2,500 monthly customer interactions and smoothly running operations for 14 academic advisors and the executive director.

Achievements 🌟

Recognition: Proud recipient of the 'Classified Employee of the Month' award for two consecutive years and a two-time nominee for 'Classified Employee of the Year'.

Special Project Success: Instrumental in securing a $30,000 grant for the Advisor Wellness Initiative, demonstrating exceptional skills in grant writing and strategic planning.
