Unified: App Design & Brand Identity

Overview Unified is an investment tracking app that brings crypto, stocks, and mutual funds into a single dashboard solving the real pain of juggling multiple apps and spreadsheets just to track portfolio. As an investor myself I was tired of manually updating spreadsheets, that is what gave birth to the idea. This is a dummy concept.
The Challenge Financial dashboards need to display dense, high-stakes data without overwhelming the user or undermining their trust in the product. The interface had to present holdings, performance charts, tax liabilities, and risk insights clearly, while feeling credible enough for someone to comfortably link their bank accounts and crypto wallets to it. After a lot of iterations and changes in prompt I was able to crack the main dashboard filtering from different features to only necessary elements. Process
Rapid concept exploration with Google Stitch Instead of starting from a blank Figma canvas, I used Google Stitch to quickly generate and iterate on early UI directions, layout structures, card hierarchies, color pairings allowing several visual directions to be tested in the time it would normally take to explore one manually.
Refinement in Figma Once a direction was validated, I moved into Figma for full component-level design: building a complete design system.
Key Screens Designed
Overview Dashboard — total portfolio value, performance history vs. benchmark, asset allocation donut, tax summary, and a "Smart Insights" card that flags portfolio risk (e.g. sector concentration)
Crypto Holdings — per-wallet/exchange breakdown, custodian risk view, security tips, watchlist
Stocks Holdings — per-broker holdings table, sector exposure, tax-tagged returns (LT/ST)
Mutual Funds — SIP tracking, AMC concentration warnings, category benchmark comparison
Tax Center — realised gains/losses, advance tax tracker, Indian tax-rule breakdown (STCG/LTCG, VDA tax), exportable reports
Brand Identity Alongside the product UI, I designed the complete brand system: logo (a bar-chart mark forming the "U"), tagline ("Track. Analyze. Grow."), color palette, and marketing collateral business cards, app icon, and social/promo templates ensuring the product and brand operate as one consistent system. Logo Concept: The mark essentially fuses two ideas into one symbol. "Unified" (the container shape) and "tracking growth" (the bar chart) — so the logo itself visually explains what the product does: bringing scattered investments (crypto, stocks, mutual funds) into one unified, growth-tracking view. The blue dot adds a subtle "live/active" cue, reinforcing the real-time sync aspect of the app rather than it being a static spreadsheet replacement.
