Kingston Distro runs as a wholesale and retail distributor, selling to ordinary customers and trade buyers through the same WooCommerce store. The trouble was simple but real: trade customers, VIP accounts, and wholesale buyers all needed different pricing, and WooCommerce on its own had no clean way to manage that without messy workarounds or manual order adjustments.
I designed and built a custom Flutter app to solve it properly. The interface was prototyped first in FlutterFlow to move fast on layout and flow, then rebuilt in hand-written Flutter and Dart once the actual logic, role-based pricing, custom Supabase queries, WooCommerce order syncing, went beyond what a visual builder could handle cleanly.
App home screen and product browsing
Product catalog and category view
Supabase runs the backend: authentication, user roles, and order history. WooCommerce stays in charge of the product catalog, payments, and fulfillment, exactly as it always has. The two systems talk to each other so the business didn't need to rebuild anything that was already working, just add the missing layer on top.
Order flow and cart experience
Admins now control pricing per customer type directly, trade, VIP, wholesale, each seeing only the rate that applies to them, with no manual intervention needed on a per-order basis.
Admin controls and role-based pricing
Ongoing Partnership
Kingston Trading continues to work with me on app updates, new features, and maintenance. The initial build shipped in December 2025, and the engagement has continued with iterative improvements as the business scales its trade operations.
