How do you design a contemporary logo for something so deeply connected to tradition? That was the main question behind my logo design for Opern.news (http://Opern.news). Opera comes with centuries of history, recognizable architecture, and a very strong cultural identity. But Opern.news (http://Opern.news) is a digital platform, a place for current stories, information, and communication. I wanted to find a simple visual idea that could connect those two worlds. The answer came from looking down at the architecture of theaters and amphitheaters. The stage and surrounding rows of seats gradually became a minimal geometric symbol. And then I noticed a second meaning in the same form: the lines also felt like broadcast waves, representing news, communication, and the flow of information. One symbol, two readings: opera + news. Give me two letters, and I’ll give you a hundred ways to make them speak. Over the past 10 years, I’ve had the chance to create many logos. Each with its own story, purpose, and visual language. I recently started turning that archive into a printed collection, grouping the work into different categories. This first chapter is dedicated to monograms, logos built from two or more letters. There’s something incredibly satisfying about taking a handful of letters and trying to find the right balance between form, rhythm, proportion, and meaning. No two monograms are ever really the same. The letters change, the industries change, the personalities behind the brands change, and so does the solution. Monograms are also one of the oldest forms of visual symbols, historically used to represent individuals, families, communities, and groups. And despite their long history, they still feel remarkably relevant today. Maybe that’s what I enjoy most about them: reducing a brand to a few letters, while still making it feel distinctive, intentional, and memorable. Here’s a small selection from the collection.

The Rebranding Real Challenge MineralBalance operates at the intersection of health, nutrition, and laboratory analysis. As HTMA continues to be associated with inconsistent messaging and wellness trends, the brand needed to communicate something more grounded: precision, credibility, and clarity. The challenge was to create an identity that felt scientifically rigorous without becoming cold, clinical, or pharmaceutical. - The Concept At the core of MineralBalance is the relationship between individual minerals and the balance they create as a system. The symbol translates this idea into a simple modular form: four elements representing four essential minerals:  Na, Mg, Ca, and K. The vertical bars introduce a subtle reference to laboratory analysis and data visualization, connecting the mark to the process of measurement and interpretation. - The Identity The rebrand gives MineralBalance a clearer and more distinctive visual foundation for its next stage of growth. The identity moves away from generic health and wellness conventions and creates a system that reflects what the brand is ultimately about: measuring, understanding, and finding balance.

For MineralBalance, the answer started with finding the right visual balance between data, science, and an approachable human side.
