A production frontend case study focused on performance stability, predictable rendering, and controlled behavior as data volume and traffic grow. The work emphasizes understanding client-side caching, state lifecycles, and runtime costs to prevent gradual degradation in long-lived React and Next.js applications.

Ulomira is a live production web platform where frontend architecture and long-term stability were treated as first-class concerns. The work focused on designing a predictable React / Next.js frontend that scales over time, with clear state boundaries, resilient structure, and maintainable patterns. Rather than optimizing for rapid feature delivery, the emphasis was on reliability, clarity, and frontend behavior that remains stable under real-world usage, ongoing changes, and evolving requirements.

PayFlowOps — Real-Time Payments Operations Platform A production-grade payments operations platform built with React and Next.js, focused on real-time transaction monitoring, failure detection, and operational visibility. This project simulates real-world payment workflows, including transaction lifecycles, failure scenarios, and live status updates. It emphasizes reliability, performance, and clarity under failure, reflecting challenges commonly faced in fintech and high-volume systems. Key aspects include real-time data handling, resilient UI patterns for degraded states, and scalable frontend architecture designed for operational teams managing payments at scale. Tech focus: React, Next.js, real-time updates, payments, transactions, failure handling, production-oriented frontend architecture.

Bnaia is a multivendor e-commerce platform for building and finishing materials. I worked on the frontend experience across product discovery, departments, vendors and brands, product pages, purchasing flows, and a guided Request for Quotation experience for customers who need more than a standard checkout. I contributed to the production frontend using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, working on responsive interfaces, API-integrated features, SEO-focused pages, product variants, and payment flows.

Hilal is a bilingual, local-first spiritual habit tracker I designed and built as a Progressive Web App. It helps users build consistent daily habits through streaks, calendars, customizable goals, rewards, and a calm motivational experience across Arabic and English. I handled the product design and frontend development end-to-end using Next.js, React, and TypeScript, with responsive RTL/LTR interfaces, installable PWA behavior, local-first state, and motion designed to make progress feel rewarding without overwhelming the experience.

Linki is a bilingual medical e-commerce platform built for the Saudi market. I worked on the frontend experience across Arabic and English, covering product discovery, product pages, cart and wishlist flows, account and address management, and order tracking. Built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, TanStack Query, and Tailwind CSS, with a focus on responsive behavior, RTL/LTR support, and a smooth production-ready shopping experience.

I wanted my portfolio to prove the work before I explain it. So I built it like a product — art-directed, interactive, and engineered end to end, from production frontend systems to WebGL experiments and playable details. Designed + built by me. waelgamil.com (http://waelgamil.com)

PreMortem is an AI release-readiness workspace for product teams. Most launch plans document what should work. PreMortem helps teams uncover what could break before a feature reaches customers. Teams frame a real business decision, separate evidence from assumptions, review AI-generated findings, run a structured pre-mortem, and convert critical risks into measurable validation plans. The journey ends with a readiness memo that makes unresolved conditions and release gates explicit. I wanted this product to exist because important product decisions are often scattered across documents, opinions, research, and meetings. PreMortem brings them into one traceable workflow while keeping the final judgment human. Designed and prototyped in Flowstep. Just submitted Vibe Board to the Framer Agents Hackathon 🎉 It's an interactive node-based canvas.. you connect 4 nodes (Mood, Industry, Color Palette, Typography) and it reveals your Design DNA: a persona name, color palette, font pairing, and brand personality line. The whole thing runs on real-time SVG bezier lines that draw themselves as you drag. Agents handled the complex connection state logic so I could focus on making it actually feel good to use. No two results feel the same. That was the whole point. 👉 Try it: https://framer.link/wHh3dp6
