Which AI model would actually survive a real ad agency brief?
I put Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0 head-to-head with the exact same frames. Same prompt. Same creative direction.
And honestly, choosing between models is starting to feel a lot closer to choosing a director than choosing a tool.
Because each one interprets motion, realism, pacing, and atmosphere completely differently.
Prompt’s in the comments if you want to test it with your own product.
They both still need some extra editing and work, but I definitely have a favorite.
Who’s winning this one for you?

The starting frame vs ending frame.
I generated both frames with Nano Banana 2 and used them as the transition points for the video generation.
I wanted it to feel like one continuous world: floating tension → gravity switches on → full liquid impact

It is impressive. How do you come up with such a detailed, precise prompt?

I use AI to write my prompts! I write my ideas in simple plain English with references, then ask it to help me write a more specific prompt. I usually specify which model I’m using so it understands how to improve the prompt for that tool!

They are both amazing. Hard to decide. You did great. Can I please get the prompt

I like the lighting more in the Seedance version, but I prefer the actual video from Kling cool work =)

Yes, the lighting in Seedance makes it feel more realistic!

I think the flow and animation with Seedance is more engaging and effective than Kling
Sabrina's avatar

Yes! I think the flow and animation feel way more engaging too. I just don’t love that motion blur effect when the can drops 😅

nah that Kling is insaneeee! idc if it's least voted for hahaha that won in this house 🔥

Hahaha honestly, Kling is insane 😭 I just feel like the quality of the water isn’t quite there yet. But to be fair, both models seem to struggle with water physics/details right now.

Both look great, but i like the colors in Kling. Great work Sabrina 👍

Hahaha honestly, they both have their pros and cons 😭

I know it’s not technically the assignment, but the constant back-and-forth can rotation immediately reads as AI. What you probably want is something closer to a real-world high-speed product shot: all the ingredients thrown or dropped through the air, frozen in a bullet-time...
Alan's avatar
Also consider:
If you absolutely have to scrub the can back and forth, then the entire scene should move in sync with that control. Think record-scratch logic — the splash, particles, lighting, droplets, camera movement, everything locked to the same timeline interaction. Right...

This is such good feedback honestly 👏 Totally agree about the physics needing to feel more connected to sell the shot.

And impossible to relay that to AI. LOL. I’ve pulled my hair out with camera directions. I typically have ChatGPT write my prompts for me.

I would choose Seedance in your case. However, I noticed that both Kling and Seedance struggle once the can enters the water because neither model handles realistic physics motion very well. I’d recommend trying the SuperGrok Imagine video model instead. I’ve been working with...

Yeah, I totally agree! the water interaction is definitely where both models start to break a bit. I haven’t tried SuperGrok Imagine yet though, now I’m curious 👀

Curiosity is usually the best reason to test it 😉
SuperGrok Imagine is worth trying, especially for edge cases like water, motion, reflections, and prompt consistency.
If you test it against Kling or Seedance, I would genuinely be interested to hear what you notice. Happy to share a few prompt-engineering notes in DM if useful.

The realism in Seedance is a little better. Each does have its own stylization and yes, you are almost choosing directors or producers at this point. Both are great. Is your current job or future goal to do this type of work for a side or primary income?
Sabrina's avatar
Sabrina Polanco logo
Yes exactly! It really does feel like choosing between different directors at this point 😭
And this is actually already part of my work! I run a branding studio, so I’ve been really interested in how these tools could fit into creative workflows and commercial production.

The first one has very weird physics. Both fail at the rotation of the can as they jiggle back and forward, thats a dead giveaway in both. Seedance does a very good "drop in water" effect, but that transition with the "star wars hyperspace" vibe is reeeeeally bad
Sabrina's avatar
Sabrina Polanco logo
I agree about the hyperspace effect 😭 I really dislike that part too. That would probably be the first thing I’d change! But yeah, I totally agree about the can rotation. That little back-and-forth jitter immediately gives it away in both models!
