I usually start by listening. On a recent project for a digital marketing agency, those conversations made clear that most of their clients are hands-on business owners. Marketing jargon already feels distant to them, so clarity mattered more than sounding “smart.” We focused on a brand that feels simple, friendly, and guiding.
If I had simply asked AI to come up with deas for a marketing agency, it probably would’ve looked polished, but missed the point (and tone).
AI is a great tool. But knowing when not to use it is part of the job. Cultural context, trust, and how people experience a business still come from humans.
