First-generation and underrepresented women often hit walls that have nothing to do with talent and everything to do with access — no one in their corner who has walked the exact road just ahead of them. Most mentorship products either match you with someone too far removed to be relatable, or feel transactional. The gap is relevant, near-peer guidance.
What I built
Within Her Network is a mentorship ecosystem that deliberately connects women to mentors who are one to three steps ahead — close enough to remember the road, far enough to light it. The product is structured around a clear narrative: the gap, the cycle that closes it, what you gain, and two clear paths in — apply for the cohort as a mentee, or become a guide.
I designed the whole experience to feel warm, editorial, and credible rather than corporate — because trust is the entire product here.
How it's made
Design: full brand and product design — an elegant editorial system with a serif display voice, soft palette, and custom illustration
Build: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind
Motion: GSAP for refined, intentional animation
Infra: deployed on Vercel, with mentor/mentee application flows
Why it matters
This is the project that best shows my range: brand and visual design polished enough to earn trust on first impression, paired with a real, deployed platform — not a static mockup. It's design and engineering in service of something I care about, shipped as one coherent product.
A shipped mentorship platform for first-generation and underrepresented women, connecting them to mentors one to three steps ahead. Designed and built end-to-end.
