This project centred around the development of the "Mood Ring" mobile application, a unique journaling app designed to help users track their moods and emotions. The target audience for the app was individuals seeking to improve self-awareness and emotional well-being through journaling. The goal was to create a user-friendly and visually engaging platform that would facilitate the recording and reflection of thoughts and emotions.

The main challenge faced by the client was designing and developing a mobile application that would effectively address the needs of users seeking to improve self-awareness and emotional well-being. The app needed to provide an intuitive and visually appealing interface for recording and reflecting on thoughts and emotions while also incorporating features that would encourage regular use and engagement.

To understand the target audience's needs and preferences, various research methods were employed, including surveys, interviews, and user testing. This research helped identify key user personas and user journeys, guiding the development of the app's features and functionality.

A competitive analysis was conducted to assess existing journaling apps and identify opportunities for differentiation. Insights gained from this analysis informed decisions regarding the app's design, features, and user experience.

Early wireframes were created to outline the app's layout and navigation structure. Design decisions were made based on principles of usability and user experience, with a focus on providing an intuitive and seamless interface for recording and reflecting on moods and emotions.

Interactive prototypes were developed to simulate the app's functionality and user interactions. The rationale behind design choices was to create a visually appealing and engaging user experience that would encourage regular use and engagement.

In summary, this project involved designing and developing the "Mood Ring" mobile application, aimed at helping users track their moods and emotions. Through user research, competitive analysis, and iterative design processes, a user-friendly and visually engaging app was created.
