UGS lacked a dedicated digital tool to track project statuses, manage liens, and streamline contractor workflows. They needed mobile and web applications tailored to a field-heavy environment, tools that would let stakeholders monitor projects in real time, handle lien documentation, and improve coordination between field teams and back-office staff.

The challenge was translating their brand values of precision and reliability into an intuitive digital experience where in-field traceability, accuracy, and transparency are paramount.

The engagement started with a deep understanding of UGS's operational needs, what information contractors need on the go, how liens are tracked and managed, and how field teams communicate with back-office staff. From there, I mapped the core journeys: tracking milestones, filing lien documentation, updating statuses, and notifying stakeholders.

Those flows guided the wireframe stage, refining layouts and navigation for clarity, minimal friction, and consistency across mobile and web. High-fidelity designs followed, building interfaces that reflect UGS's brand values through clean visual hierarchy, clear status indicators, and purposeful feedback mechanisms.

Screens were then translated into interactive prototypes, tested with stakeholders, iterated on, and packaged into a modular design system, documented component patterns built for seamless handoff and future scaling.
