Smart Filing is a legal tech platform designed to simplify business registration for first-time founders. The platform helps entrepreneurs navigate the complex process of entity selection, formation documents, and compliance requirements without needing a law degree.

Despite having the right services, the original experience didn't match the promise. Users were dropping off during critical steps, struggling with legal jargon, and lacking confidence throughout the registration process.

The existing Smart Filing platform had strong fundamentals but failed to deliver a confidence-building experience:

High drop-off rates during entity selection and form-heavy steps

Assumed too much knowledge – Legal language overwhelmed non-technical founders

Lack of guidance – Users didn't know what was coming next or if they were doing things correctly

No visibility – Founders couldn't track progress or understand their registration status

Complex backend – Admin team struggled with managing multiple applications efficiently
