Tarek Shalaby
Project Description
Led the development of Octopii, a white-label SaaS platform designed for service-based businesses. I started the team from scratch, focusing on domestic services and later dental clinics. After a brainstorming phase, we built and delivered the MVP in just a few weeks. I worked closely with developers on the UI, using TailwindCSS, and oversaw product strategy and management to ensure scalability.
Challenges & Solutions
Service-based businesses faced operational inefficiencies and struggled to scale. Starting a team from scratch while designing a platform that could serve multiple industries required tight coordination.
I hired and led a cross-functional team, implementing a streamlined MVP in weeks. We initially focused on the domestic services industry, then expanded to dental clinics, incorporating client feedback to refine the product for broader sector use.
