Project Description I led the development and architecture of Intel’s Intelligent Point of Sale (IPOS), a web-based desktop application transforming the PC aisle experience for retailers. Installed in over 4,000 Walmart stores in the U.S., the software enables dynamic, interactive presentations of PCs, scaling across multiple platforms, browsers, and languages. I moved quickly to adapt my web expertise to offline desktop environments and eventually led the full program, managing front-end, back-end, and DevOps teams to deliver a high-quality, scalable solution that outperformed Microsoft’s competing product.
I worked on this project while working at Digitas and collaborating with the Arc agency.

The Challenge

Making Intel Stand Out in a Crowded Retail Space
Need to make PCs in stores interactive, engaging, and dynamic
Software had to run offline across multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Chromebook) and browsers (IE11, Chrome, Firefox)
Compete against Microsoft’s product and scale to thousands of retail devices
Enable dynamic content updates and analytics integration for Intel teams

My Role

Front-End Lead → General Architect
Developed the front-end architecture and led a team of 4 engineers
Ensured high-quality development for a cross-platform, offline-capable app
Later led the full program, overseeing back-end and DevOps teams
Implemented mechanisms for content pushes, updates, and analytics ingestion
Tech Stack: Vue.js | Nuxt | Custom APIs | Offline-first web architecture | Analytics integration | Multi-language support

The Approach

Adapt. Scale. Lead.
Translated web-based expertise to offline desktop applications
Built cross-platform, offline-ready architecture that runs seamlessly across multiple browsers and devices
Developed specialized experiences for different audiences, including a gamer version
Enabled dynamic content updates and analytics collection for Intel teams
Scaled experience into 20 languages for international deployment

The Results

High-Impact, Scalable Retail Solution
Chosen by Walmart over Microsoft’s competing product
Installed in over 4,000 retail devices across the U.S.
Increased PC engagement and sales by creating interactive, hands-on experiences
Delivered multilingual support and specialized experiences (e.g., for gamers)
Enabled dynamic updates and analytics integration for ongoing optimization

The Value Delivered

Transforming Complexity into Scalable, High-Impact Solutions
I adapted digital expertise to build an offline, cross-platform retail solution at massive scale. I led front-end, back-end, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality delivery, dynamic content updates, and analytics integration. This project demonstrates my ability to move fast, translate web expertise into new technical contexts, and control complexity at scale, delivering reliable, innovative solutions that create measurable business impact.
