Cenario's Pizza, a Northern California culinary landmark since 1986, built its legacy on irresistible pizzas and signature pastas. But faced significant challenges in their digital presence, hindering online growth and profitability. Their outdated website was leading to:

Diving Deeper: Unpacking the Process

Discovery & Research

One of the many things my research revealed is that online diners perceived the restaurant kitchen to be cleaner when they saw a well-designed website with professional food photography. To fully capture user behaviors and needs, I developed personas to serve as the North Star during the project.

Visual Design

The visual design strategy focused on a fundamental truth: we eat with our eyes first. I developed a image optimization workflow that empowered the Cenario's team to capture menu photos using their iPhones—saving Kelvin $8,000 in photography costs and cutting project time by a month. We transformed over 100 menu items using this workflow.

CMS Powered Speciality Pizzas and Menu

I implemented Webflow CMS to reimagine Cenario’s rotating menu and price updates. This flexibility alone saved 15+ hours of weekly management time.

QR Menu Creation and Integration

Unlike competitors using static PDFs, I developed a comprehensive digital solution for in-store diners. This included custom-designed table tents(print) with branded QR codes leading to a mobile-optimized CMS menu page.

Job Application System

To combat staffing shortages, I engineered a Job Board and hiring pipeline using Webflow CMS—features dynamic application forms with preliminary screening, automated response handling, and direct integration with management workflows.
