The traveler who reads Lune already knows where they're going. They just haven't booked it yet.
These are people who spend three months with a place before they arrive. Who read a hotel review the way most people read a novel, slowly, forming a picture of themselves in it. They're not searching for options. They're looking for permission to go somewhere they've already chosen. Lune is built for that reader.
The hard design problem here isn't visual. It's trust. How do you hold editorial authority and still make the affiliate click feel earned? Get that balance wrong and it tips one of two ways: a magazine that doesn't convert, or a commerce site pretending to have taste. Lune's answer is hierarchy. The homepage leads with story. Collections organize the world by feeling, not category. The hotel page reads like a recommendation from someone who went last autumn and is still thinking about it. The booking moment arrives when the reader is already certain. The design just doesn't interfere.
The weekly edit brings the same logic to a single email. One destination. One stay. One reason to open it. A format that treats attention like the scarce thing it actually is.
This is what it looks like when editorial and commerce stop fighting each other.
