QSC Audio was founded in 1968 in California as an audio amplifier company. It has since grown to become an international corporation and continues to drive this legacy forward, delivering world-class audio solutions for live sound, cinema, and installed sound applications.

I was assigned this project by the agency I was working with at the time on a contract basis. QSC had the ambitious endeavor of localizing the company's website, which required, among other things, to perform a Spanish description of each of its myriad of products.

Over the following months, and even years, QSC sought us out to caption a series of training videos for technicians and sales teams.

As is the case with projects like this, the required skill set includes tight copywriting abilities, a substantial grasp of the source and target cultures, a keen knack for research, and a lot of experience in electronics and audio specifications.

The aforementioned agency came to me given not only my extensive experience in copywriting, transcreation and localization, but also looking to leverage my extensive expertise in all things tech, which stems from my background in programming and electronic building.

The client was provided a .XLIFF (Localization Interchange File Format), which is a very flexible CAT tool standard.
