Youma pro - Maximising adoption of a new recruiting tool

The design of job ads on Youma’s B2C interface required recruiters to enrich their postings beyond traditional job boards. Since this introduced a new tool into recruiters' workflows, our focus was on driving adoption and ensuring a smooth, seamless transition. We prioritized ease of use and minimized friction, while also incorporating growth loop features to enhance engagement and retention.

My role

I played a key role in shaping Youma’s B2C and B2B product strategy through stakeholder workshops.
For the B2B interface, I collaborated with the PM, developers, and head of product to create an MVP and drive adoption.

Leveraging my deep understanding of recruiters' needs, I designed an integrated workflow that minimized their effort while providing richer candidate insights than other platforms.

To boost engagement, we introduced features like an intelligent rejection message system to improve candidate interactions. I then conducted user tests (inclunding participants recruitment) and surveys to validate and refine our approach.

Results

The test results showed that users could complete their tasks effortlessly and valued how seamlessly the solution fit into their existing workflow. However, we discovered that our video creation service was not as well received as expected. Once the growth loop was implemented, users started creating accounts even before the official marketing launch, and the candidate response rate surpassed expectations.

What I learned

I leveraged my B2B product design expertise and deep understanding of user needs to quickly design an MVP while optimizing development efforts. In the process, I gained insights into data transfer and acquired foundational technical knowledge, enabling me to communicate more effectively with developers.
