Overview

DAZN Group approached me to redesign their corporate website after previous redesign efforts fell short of expectations. Leveraging our prior collaborations on projects like the “Fan Zone” feature, they trusted me to deliver a clean, smart, and modern design that aligns with their vision and business goals.

Challenges

DAZN’s previous website was outdated and didn’t reflect the innovative and dynamic nature of their brand. The initial attempt at an internal redesign failed to capture their desired aesthetic and functional goals. The primary challenge was to craft a website that not only showcased their leadership in sports media but also appealed to major collaborators and investors.

My Role

As the lead designer, I was responsible for:
Defining the design vision through research and stakeholder interviews.
Creating wireframes and prototypes for approximately 10–12 pages, including a blog.
Leading the UI/UX design process, ensuring alignment with DAZN’s brand identity.
Collaborating with their design director and the development team to ensure fidelity in implementation.

Process

1. Discovery and Research
To understand DAZN’s vision, I conducted research into their brand, competitors, and target audience. The goal was to achieve a balance between simplicity and sophistication—similar to brands like Apple—while maintaining the essence of DAZN’s identity.
2. Wireframing
Using insights from the research, I designed low-fidelity wireframes to map out the structure of key pages. This phase focused on content organization and navigation to ensure clarity and ease of use.
3. Design
Building on the wireframes, I designed high-fidelity mockups that brought the vision to life. The focus was on creating a clean and modern aesthetic with intuitive interactions. The color palette, typography, and imagery were carefully selected to convey professionalism and innovation.
4. Collaboration
Throughout the process, I worked closely with DAZN’s design director and developer to refine the designs and address any technical constraints. Feedback loops, though occasionally slowed by corporate processes, ensured alignment at every stage.
