For Cabify drivers, income tracking was a constant pain point. Once a trip was completed, there was little visibility into how earnings accumulated or how close they were to personal goals. Drivers needed transparent tools to manage their work like a business.

Drivers had no clear visibility of their daily or weekly earnings, making it difficult to track progress.

Lack of transparency and predictability caused frustration and reduced trust in Cabify as their main income source.

Many drivers relied on external notes or workarounds, which were error-prone and time-consuming.

Design and deliver an Earnings View that gave drivers clear, transparent, and motivating insight into their income; while reinforcing Cabify as a reliable source of livelihood.

Conducted interviews and shadowing sessions with drivers to understand their daily workflows and frustrations.

Prototyped different earnings dashboard concepts: daily/weekly totals, trip breakdowns, and goal progress tracking.

Added gamified elements like earnings targets and progress bars to make work more motivating.

Collaborated with engineering to ensure real-time data accuracy and seamless integration into the driver app.

The main challenge was balancing clarity and motivation. Too much financial detail risked overwhelming drivers, while too little felt untrustworthy. Iteration with real drivers helped strike the right tone: clear numbers supported by simple progress indicators.

Increased transparency and trust, with drivers reporting higher satisfaction and reduced anxiety around income tracking.

+64 minutes/day increase in driver activity, as clearer earnings motivated drivers to complete more trips.

Contributed to a ~7% increase in overall driver earnings, directly boosting Cabify’s revenue and retention.
