Brand Identity for Grover's Lane

Grover’s Lane creates handcrafted dog beds inspired by mid-century design. It sits at the intersection of thoughtful design and the everyday lives of dogs.

Project: Developing the strategy and brand identity for Grover’s Lane, positioning it as a premium pet furniture brand that feels elevated, timeless, and functional. 

Challenges: Dog beds are often treated as functional afterthoughts rather than considered pieces of furniture. Grover’s Lane needed an identity that felt like a high-quality furniture brand and spoke to dog parents who are also modern furniture lovers.

Solution: The art direction draws inspiration from mid-century architecture and fashion editorial design to express the brand’s timeless, elevated positioning. Refined typography, warm natural tones, bold color accents, and subtle organic curves create a distinctive identity that balances design integrity with comfort and everyday functionality.

The logo uses a refined sans-serif in uppercase, giving it a clean, timeless, premium feel. We balanced sharp, straight lines with soft curves, most visible in the R, where the curve adds warmth and nods to the shape of the dog bed. That mix of clean geometry and organic form gives the wordmark its distinct, memorable character.

The brand’s layout is clean, spacious, and editorial, using a strong typographic hierarchy and generous negative space to give each element room to breathe. Warm earthy tones, soft blue accents, refined typography, and subtle graphic details create a mood that feels timeless, sophisticated, and welcoming.

The patterns combine organic textures with geometric forms, reflecting the brand’s balance of soft comfort, craftsmanship, and architectural design.
