I founded and ran Muzeji Rade, a blog about museums in Serbia and around the world. I wrote the articles, interviewed museum professionals, and built an audience on the blog, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. It became one of the top 5 blogs in Serbia in the industry in the first year.
The process:
Chose a clear focus: museums in Serbia, museums abroad, and what to visit
Position museums as open and inviting to the public
Wrote articles and visitor guides in plain, friendly language
Interviewed museum professionals and event organizers
Published practical guides that helped museums use social media and digital tools
Built a community on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and a museum map on the blog
Worked with museums and cultural events, such as the Night of Museums
Result:
One of the top 5 blogs in Serbia in the 1st year
