The Brief:
Create a radio script promoting the Olympics' first dance sport, breakdancing.
Insight:
Breakdancing terminology, some of which dates back to the 1970s, remains solid in the sport's language and culture. I knew that it would be essential to refer to some of those terms in my script. I also reflected the public’s surprise at the dance being introduced.
Execution/Strategy:
I created a script where a vibrant unnamed narrator introduces breakdancing to a dad and his daughter.
