How we saw it
With a mission to help people across impoverished and established communities, the company needed a brand that inspired trust and a space of shared love and interest. We focused on developing a visual and language system that delivered a calm and smiling attitude
Challenges :
▸ Build a brand that merges fitness & health, alongside science backed processes and peak performance.
▸ Create an identity that stands out from the crowd in a dens competitor environment
▸ Develop a visual system that offered versatility and consistency for a growing company.
The Tactic
We focused on a deep discovery process that outlined brand pillars and allowed us to see what made HS Athletics unique. We workshopped with founders to discover what was at the heart of their intention and built a language surrounding the brand they wanted to create. Through this process, we clarified their vision and determined the direction of the brand together.
Our contribution
We equipped Good People NYC™ with a friendly brand identity with light and soft colours and approachable brand elements. We used iconography such as the smiley faces and love hearts to both convey a sense of New York spirit, alongside a highly approachable image. Our typography and design choices were all backed by the thought of ensuring that any member of the community, or passer by, was comforted and at ease. Good People NYC™ provide the space for people to grow, learn and unwind, their new brand matched that vision.
Outcomes :
▸ Clarified Vision (1:1 Workshops, Brand Auditing, Industry Research, Target Avatars)
▸ Visual systems with versatile options (Logo, Typography, Colour)
▸ Vision focused messaging guidance (Brand Voice, Tonal Approach, Brand Words)
