As Communications Manager at Zachraň jídlo (Save the Food), I developed and executed multi-channel communications strategies to raise awareness about food waste in the Czech Republic.

Key contributions:

• Led media relations and secured coverage in national outlets, positioning Save the food as the go-to expert on food waste prevention • Produced content for social media, newsletters, and the organisation's website, growing audience engagement a strenghtening community. • Represented the organisation in video interviews and public-facing campaigns, including a collaboration with Komerční banka as their sustainability ambassador • Co-created the September Against Waste (Září proti plýtvání) digital campaign — a month-long awareness initiative that attracted ~1,000 participants per year • Contributed to the Safe the Lunch project connecting workplace canteens with people in food poverty, diverting thousands of meals from waste

A key part of my role was creating scroll-stopping social media content that made complex sustainability topics feel relevant and urgent. Each post was designed to educate without lecturing while using visuals, data storytelling, and relatable framing to drive engagement on the @zachranjidlo Instagram account (15K+ followers).

Website Project: zachranobed.cz

I led the end-to-end creation of a dedicated project website for Zachraň oběd project — an initiative connecting workplace and school canteens with charities serving people in need.
My involvement spanned the full project lifecycle:
Strategy: Defined the website's goals, target audiences (canteen donors and charity recipients), and key messaging
Wireframing & Content: Oversaw the development of the site structure and wrote copy with the goal of translating a complex logistical project into clear, accessible language for two distinct user groups
Launch & Management: Handled the go-live process and ongoing content management, keeping the site up to date as the project scaled across Czech cities
The project has since grown to 90,000 rescued lunches, operating across 14+ cities in the Czech Republic, with partners including Zátiší Group, IKEA, Sodexo, and Česko.Digital.
