Bean House is a neighbourhood coffee shop that transforms into a vibey espresso bar at night. The project was to design a brand identity that balances this duality – welcoming regulars during the day, then shifting into a vibrant social space at night – through a system that feels warm, energetic, and story-driven.

Bean House needed a brand that could transition seamlessly from morning ritual to evening vibe, while building loyalty among locals and recognition online. My role was to create a distinct identity system and applications that reflect the brand’s dual soul: grounded, design-led, and community-first.

Research & Strategy – Explored cafés, cocktail bars, and lifestyle hospitality brands to identify gaps and opportunities for a hybrid identity.

Creative Direction – Choose a community warmth, vibrant, and story-driven direction to highlight Bean House as more than a venue – an evolving cultural marker.

Design Development – Built a logo suite, colour palette, and type system that balance sophistication with approachability.

Applications – Designed business & loyalty cards, dual menus, packaging and social media posts to ensure the brand is cohesive both in-store and online.

The final identity gave Bean House a magnetic presence that attracts locals and encourages repeat visits. By weaving warmth and storytelling into every touchpoint, the brand now feels less like a venue and more like a familiar rhythm in the community – welcoming by day, vibrant by night.
