Bask & Bloom Essentials is a Black-owned hair care brand offering natural, cruelty-free products for women of all hair types. This client had been successful with affiliate marketing and an organic social media presence, but their PR efforts had begun to stagnate. It was time to kickstart their brand awareness on a national scale.
The client had previously managed their public relations campaigns on their own and had received media attention organically, but they needed an agency to take a more proactive approach to their public relations strategy. Their goal was to highlight their brand story and the founder’s unique entrepreneurial background. So after conducting trend research and a PR audit, Rani Public Relations developed a new strategy for brand awareness.
After conducting trend research and a PR audit, we developed new & fresh pitch angles and cultivated relationships with top-tier beauty and entrepreneur media outlets. We then conducted strategic press outreach and product gifting to select editors to share the brand’s story and differentiators. By cultivating these relationships, we secured four top-tier press features for the brand in just four months of outreach. This led to an increase in national brand awareness, brand loyalty among new and returning customers, visibility as a Black woman-owned beauty brand and credibility in the eyes of the brand’s target audience.
