Project: "Buakisa awa*"
Campaign for Equity Bank and Hoja Taxis During my apprenticeship at Hoja Taxis, I participated in the launch of the "Buakisa awa: Jette ça ici" campaign, in collaboration with Equity BCDC.
The goal of this campaign was to encourage the people of Kinshasa to open bank accounts with Equity Bank and adopt digital payment solutions, such as bank cards and mobile payments, to promote digitalization. The campaign also aimed to transform payment methods in Kinshasa's taxis by promoting 100% digital transactions. This initiative was designed to reduce the risk of kidnappings, which are a serious issue in the city, by making payments traceable and ensuring greater safety for passengers.
As a project manager, I oversaw the full process of agent deployment on the ground and led the conversion of customers into users of digital payment solutions. My responsibilities also included managing the communication strategy, creating and disseminating messages to raise awareness about the benefits of digital payments, and increasing the visibility of the campaign.
Hoja Taxis, which was established to tackle the problem of kidnappings in Kinshasa, already offered a secure service for passenger pickup and drop-off. This campaign complemented their mission by incorporating digital payments, contributing not only to transaction security but also enhancing passenger safety.
