Like many others, every day I used to wake up at 5 am, take a quick shower, and eat breakfast while I drove to work. For years I saw that as the normal thing to do, until during the pandemic I was forced to move my office space to my home. At first it was an overwhelming sensation since I was not used to the idea of working at home, but then I built an office space with all the things I wanted, and it made me happy and motivated. This change helped me to achieve better results at work, resulting in a promotion. With time I started seeing all the benefits of working from home, but it was it until my 21-year-old cat Pandora passed away that I learned how much I wanted to keep working from home so I could spend more time with my loved ones.

I started searching for remote jobs, but a lot of those jobs had the small condition that once the pandemic was over, they would be back to the office. With time I learned about freelance and how to become one. In 2022 I joined Upwork. After a while I got my first job as a virtual assistant, and thanks to that review, I started getting more and more jobs. For a while, I kept my full-time job and freelanced as an extra part-time job, but in December 2023 I was laid off from my full-time job, so I decided to dedicate all my efforts to being a full-time freelancer. Besides the benefit of having more time to spend with my family and pets, I love that as a freelancer I can have a bigger impact in the world with small actions, to prove that, here are some of my reviews.

Midland Credit Management, Nov 2013 - Dec 2023: Senior Group Manager, interviewed new hires, created SharePoint Sites, designed and helped in management tasks. Worked in collaboration with Training a Developing team to direct six new hire classes. Created and implemented improvement plans for KPI. Helped consumers to find the best suitable options to pay their bills.
Tidy My Place Janitorial, Dec 2022 - Present (Freelance): manage new hire candidate’s profiles with Indeed and Pipeline Pro and online interviews via Zoom and Google Meet. Currently, I am also administrating the employee data and payroll process with Swept and Google Drive tools.
