PDFSimpli's AI image suite packs dozens of styles, modifiers and edit tools into one product. My job was to keep all that power and remove the overwhelm: how the tool is organized, and a landing page system that scales to 15 AI tools. Live on pdfsimpli.com.
Project 002 · Overview: I owned how the tool is organized and the landing page system, on a shared product team.
The challenge: dozens of options can turn a creative tool into a cockpit.
My four rules: two paths, group by how people think, show more only when asked, one clear action.
The flow: start, Custom, Presets, Edit. One canvas from blank page to finished image.
Two paths: Custom for people who know what they want, Presets for everyone else, on the same canvas.
Presets: five layers that open in place, so people only see the next choice when they need it.
My hardest call: grouping 24 edit tools by intent into 5 groups, so nobody hunts for "crop".
One rail for four tools, with a hover preview that explains each tool before the click.
Landing pages: one structure that scales to 15 AI tools, desktop and mobile.
