About the Project:

After interviewing for a part-time Jr. Social Media Specialist role with, the leading online community and platform for independents, I was offered a full-time Social Media Marketing position starting October 2021. We hit the ground running with their latest launch scheduled to release in less than a month.

November 2021 launch scope included:

  • 100% commission-free payments
  • Series B funding announcement
  • Partnership with TikTok for their newest feature, Jumps

Position Overview:

With a strong following previously established on TikTok and Instagram, Contra was focusing these platforms, along with their Twitter and Pinterest channels, to scale brand awareness and get more eyes on launch announcements. Along with organic tactics, I worked with the social team to manage long- and short-term influencer partnerships with brand ambassadors and one-off content creators. I was also responsible for daily + weekly reoccurring tasks that focused on micro-communications and engagement across social channels, growth tracking, and analytics reporting, in addition to longer-term projects like influencer strategy + KPI development and social marketing strategy.

Working for Contra has been an absolute dream. From originally discovering the platform on Instagram through our influencers to managing the communications with all Contra partners, my Contra journey has been certainly memorable and only just begun.
