Litehaus - Referral Program Platform Design
Litehaus is an AI-powered home building company operating across Spain and Portugal. I designed their Referral Program — a live web platform (referral.litehaus.co) that turns architects, engineers, and real estate agents into an active client-referral channel, complete with onboarding, a partner dashboard, and a suite of AI-assisted tools.
Probelm
Litehaus already had a network of professional partners, but no product to activate it:
No structured intake. There was no way to onboard a new partner and immediately learn their role, region, project types, and client needs — the information that determines what leads they should receive.
No visibility for referrers. Partners had no dashboard to see referral status, earnings, or incoming leads in one place.
No incentive to grow the network. Partners had no built-in reason to bring other professionals onto the platform.
AI tools with no home. Litehaus's AI quote generator, portfolio builder, and construction agent existed as capabilities, not as one cohesive, trustworthy product experience.
Wireframe Sketches
My Solution
I designed a single platform that takes a professional from first sign-in to their first referral, with the incentive structure and AI tools built into the experience rather than bolted on.
Adaptive Onboarding
A 10-step wizard collects role, country, region, project type, and client needs — and reacts to the answers in real time. Selecting "Architect," for example, immediately surfaces a note offering to route architecture-seeking leads directly to that partner.
Partner Dashboard
A home base showing Total Earnings, Active Referrals, and Leads Received at a glance, with direct actions to refer a client or invite another professional — designed to hold up whether a partner has zero referrals or a full pipeline.
Built-In Incentive Loop
A 10% override commission for inviting other verified professionals is introduced during onboarding itself, so the earning model is understood before a partner ever reaches the dashboard.
AI Tools Suite
Make a Quote, AI-Powered Portfolio, Analyze Documents, AI Construction Agent, and Find a Land all live in the same navigation and visual language as the referral tools — so the AI features read as part of one product, not a separate experiment.

Mapped the partner journey end to end — sign-up, onboarding, first referral, ongoing management — before laying out a single screen.

Personal Info → Account Details → Professional Role → Country & Region → Project Types → Client Support Needs → Competitor Info Capture → Referral Prompt → Invite Professionals → Referrer Agreement, each with a persistent progress bar against a full-bleed architectural image.
Built conditional states into the UI
Choosing "Other" reveals a free-text field; choosing "Architect" reveals a targeted lead-matching note — so the form itself feels like it's listening.
Designed transition & empty states
— the "Setting up your Account" loader and the zeroed-out first-run dashboard — so new partners are never staring at a broken-looking screen.
Paired the AI quote tool with an explainer
The "Make a Quote" screen sits a conversational AI assistant next to a plain-language "How It Works" panel, so the AI output feels explainable rather than magic.
Delivered responsive sign-in
Matching desktop and mobile login screens so partners — often on-site — can manage referrals from a phone.
Final Results
The Litehaus Referral Program is live at referral.litehaus.co, giving Litehaus a self-service channel for architects, engineers, real estate agents, and topographers across Spain and Portugal to refer clients, track commissions, and grow the partner network — all inside one branded, AI-assisted platform.

My Key Takeaways
Putting the incentive structure directly inside the onboarding UI — not in a terms page — made the referral program's value obvious before a partner ever saw the dashboard.
For a platform where most new users land on a screen full of zeros, designing the empty and loading states with the same care as the "full" dashboard mattered as much as any other screen in the product.
