Goal

The main objective was to improve the shopping and offer experience on their current website. Diggit is one of the major players in e-commerce in Argentina, with over 100,000 monthly visits to its site. However, the main issue was that this traffic generated a purchase conversion rate of less than 5%, significantly impacting sales and forcing the use of other sales channels, such as Mercado Libre and others.

Design process

A Discovery process and a site audit were carried out to identify user pain points and all existing inconsistencies. The business model and current user purchasing behavior were analyzed. Additionally, a benchmarking analysis was conducted to explore the best alternatives, followed by the creation of wireframes to conceptualize the initial ideas.

Design system and components

Since the platform was built using Odoo, I worked with the tool's official library and documented each component's usage. Additionally, I created new components aligned with the brand's style and branding guidelines.

Responsive Design

The site was redesigned with a 'mobile-first' focus to enhance the browsing and shopping experience, as a large portion of the traffic came from ads redirecting users to the website from mobile devices.

Result

The result was an improved interface with a much better, more intuitive, and easy-to-navigate mobile experience. Purchases could now be completed directly on the platform, and the sales conversion rate increased from 5% to over 25% through this channel.
