Softonic - Branding + Redesign UX UI

The main objective was to enhance the navigation and overall design experience of the site, as the company had recently initiated a rebranding process to improve its profitability and position itself as the number 1 competitor in the smartphone industry.

A Discovery phase and research on the company's direct competitors were conducted. The number 1 competitor was 'APK Pure,' a leader in APK and software downloads, with a significant user base in India and much of Asia. The goal was to create a 100% responsive site with a 'first mobile' focus to capture a share of the APK download market.

After working on multiple proposals and presentations with stakeholders, we arrived at a format to test with internal and external users of the company, with a specific focus on the mobile version experience.

User response was very positive, with 9 out of 10 users preferring this new proposal. Not only did it involve a change in branding, but it also improved the experience of searching and downloading software for both PC and mobile devices. Their business relies on traffic and the 'pay per click' model, making it crucial to position themselves as leaders in the industry.
